Barre Classes
Advance booking is required for all classes to ensure that a spot is available for you. Save by purchasing a Membership or Multi-Class Pass first (before booking in via the blue buttons below), or pay as you go.
BARRE BODY
If you haven’t done a Barre class before, you’re in for a treat!
This class combines elements of Pilates, functional fitness, yoga and ballet drills, to provide you with a full body workout and raise your heart rate.
Exercises are high in intensity, so you feel the burn, but completely low in impact. The emphasis is on developing strength and flexibility from the feet up though the calves, knees, thighs, and glutes (and we also throw in some upper and whole body moves to balance it out!)
As well as the ballet barre, we also use bands, small balls and light dumbells in various classes.
The emphasis is on form, alignment and core engagement with small, pulsing movements. Although not required, attending one or more Pilates Basics classes will give you a good foundation and moves to ensure you get the most out of each class.
The exercises are modified with easier or more challenging variations so that you can work to your ability and see progress and results with each class.
Tuesdays 9.30am and Thursdays 5.30pm. 60 minute class.
